Helen Hills Farm is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors. However, due to the inherent risks associated with farm activities, all guests must carefully read and agree to the following terms before entering the property.
1. Assumption of Risk: I understand that participating in farm activities, including but not limited to interacting with animals, walking on uneven terrain, handling tools, engaging in workshops, and other farm-related experiences, involves inherent risks. These risks include but are not limited to injury, illness, allergic reactions, or property damage. I voluntarily assume all such risks associated with my participation.
2. Release and Waiver of Liability: I hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless Helen Hills Farm, its owners, employees, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action that may arise from my participation in farm activities. This release extends to any injuries, damages, or losses I may sustain while on the property.
3. Agritourism Law Notice: In accordance with South Carolina Agritourism Liability Law (SC Code of Laws §46-53-10), I acknowledge that under South Carolina law, an agritourism professional is not liable for any injury to or death of a participant resulting from the inherent risks of agritourism activities, pursuant to Chapter 53, Title 46, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976. I agree that I am assuming the risk of participation in any agritourism activities at Helen Hills Farm.
4. Farm Rules and Conduct: To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests, I agree to adhere to the following farm rules:
Follow all posted signage and guidelines provided by farm staff.
Supervise children at all times.
Do not enter restricted areas or interact with animals without permission.
Wear appropriate footwear and be mindful of uneven surfaces.
Dispose of trash properly and respect the property.
No smoking, alcohol, or illegal substances are permitted on the premises. Failure to comply with these rules may result in removal from the property without refund.
5. Photo and Media Release: I grant permission to Helen Hills Farm to use photographs, videos, or other media taken during my visit for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes. I understand that these images may be used in print, online, and social media platforms. If I do not wish to be photographed, I will notify farm staff upon arrival.
6. Medical Treatment Authorization: In the event of an emergency, I authorize Helen Hills Farm to provide or seek necessary medical assistance on my behalf. I understand that I am responsible for any medical expenses incurred as a result of my visit.
