About the event
Spend a creative morning on the farm learning the art of watercolor with local artist Lauren Arsenault.
Designed with beginners in mind, this relaxed workshop is an invitation to slow down, experiment with watercolor, and find inspiration in the beauty of flowers—no previous painting experience required.
Guests will use two fresh floral arrangements created for the workshop as inspiration for their own paintings. Lauren will guide you through approachable watercolor techniques, from working with your brush and water to mixing color and capturing the loose shapes and movement of flowers.
There are no expectations of perfection here. Choose to paint the flowers, colors, and details that catch your eye and create a piece that feels entirely your own.
Along the way, you'll learn foundational watercolor skills, build confidence with your brush, and enjoy a peaceful morning of painting and flowers on the farm. And the best part? You’ll leave with your finished painting beautifully matted and ready to display!
Your ticket includes:
Guided watercolor instruction with Lauren Arsenault
All watercolor materials and supplies
Your finished watercolor artwork to take home
A mini tour of the farm and gardens
Light refreshments
At the end of the workshop, we'll raffle off the two floral arrangements so two guests get to take the inspiration home, too!
Ages 14+. Beginner-friendly. Registration is required and space is limited.
Rain Date & Weather Policy
The Artist's Garden Journal is designed to take place both in the gardens and on our covered porch. In the event of light or intermittent rain, the workshop will continue as planned, with activities adjusted as needed. If severe or sustained weather makes it unsafe or impractical to hold the workshop, guests will be notified and the event will be moved to the designated rain date: Tuesday Nov. 24th 10am-2pm. Please plan to be available for both the original workshop date and rain date when registering. If Helena Hills Farm must cancel the workshop and it cannot be rescheduled, registered guests will receive a full refund.
Cancellation Policy
Because this is an intentionally small workshop with limited seating, your registration reserves one of only a few available spaces.
Cancellations made more than one week prior to the workshop may be eligible for a partial refund. Registrations are non-refundable within one week of the workshop date. If you're unable to attend, your registration may be transferred to another participant. Please contact Helena Hills Farm in advance to let us know of the change. If the workshop is rescheduled due to weather, registrations will automatically transfer to the designated rain date.
